Interactive prayer walk encourages people to learn about, pray for, and consider their calling to missions.
Davis, OK – Erin’s Hope Foundation (EHF), in partnership with the International Mission Board (IMB) and Oklahoma Baptists, will dedicate the Missions Trail at Falls Creek’s Centennial Prayer Garden on May 10, 2023, from 1:30-3:00 PM. The trail is an interactive prayer walk experience that encourages people to learn about, pray for, and consider their calling to missions.
The Missions Trail features eight interactive displays showcased under beautiful shaded pergolas and among lush gardens with outdoor museum-quality displays that provide information and insights for those wishing to pray for the needs of people with little or no access to the Gospel while exploring their calling to missions.
“We hope that through the Mission Trail, the eyes and hearts of youth attending Falls Creek this summer will be opened to the world’s greatest spiritual problem — lostness,” said Ed Herrelko of IMB. “They will embark on a journey of prayer for the lost, and for IMB missionaries taking the gospel to some of the hardest to reach places on earth.”
The Missions Trail is located in the previously unused space next to the existing Centennial Prayer Garden and will be available to campers at Falls Creek this summer and beyond.
Erin’s Hope Foundation was established in memory of Erin Swezey, who was passionate about missions and was exploring her calling to serve God at the time of her death. The foundation seeks to glorify God and honor Erin’s memory through ministry, outreach, education, scholarships, and advocacy.
“We are excited to partner with the IMB and Oklahoma Baptists to create this interactive prayer walk experience at Falls Creek’s Centennial Prayer Garden,” said the mother of Erin, Dixie Swezey, of Erin’s Hope Foundation. “We hope this prayer walk will encourage people of all ages to seek the Lord prayerfully about their calling while interceding for the lost through prayer.”
